Netball

Netball at Foremarke has achieved much success, with our U13 and U12 teams regularly qualifying in regional competitions to represent the school at National level at Rodean School. We also frequently achieve individual success in netball, with girls representing the County Teams.

Netball is one of the major focus sports played by the girls in the Lent Term, however to start preparing them for the netball season there are after school netball clubs for the Lower School girls (Years 3+4) and the Upper School girls (Years 5-8) during the Michaelmas Term.

Teams are run at all age groups from Year 4, (U9A+B, U10A+B, U11A+B, 1st VII-5th VII), with our aim being to include as many pupils as possible to represent the School. House netball matches are a main feature on the school calendar, with all girls participating in these exciting events. We host netball tournaments annually at U13, U11 and U10 level. We frequently have between eight to ten schools participating in these tournaments.

Teams are run by a dedicated and qualified staff, who have received training from Karen Atkinson (Co-Captain of England). Team coaches keep up-to-date with current training methods by frequently attending Netball Inset Courses.

Foremarke Hall has three outdoor netball courts and one indoor full size court, located in the sports hall. During the Lent Term, we also take full advantage of Repton’s wonderful facilities (six outdoor and two indoor courts) for matches and training.
