On Sunday the Foremarke Hall Equestrian Team travelled down to Bromyard near Hereford for the Inter- Schools Showjumping Regional Grassroots Final having qualified last September. We entered two teams into the 40cm class and all riders had lovely clear rounds. Out of ten teams Foremarke came 6th and 3rd and Matilda (Y2) was awarded an individual 3rd place as well. In class 4, the 50cm class, there were nine teams entered and Foremarke came out in 2nd place. Maisie (Y4) entered the 55cm open class as an individual and achieved a 3rd place. Class 6, where the jumps now stood at 60 cm, was a challenge for one of the Foremarke teams as they had over an hours wait due to an earlier incident, however the blue team, who had gone earlier, came out in 5th place out of nine teams. Charlie (Y6) was also voted most stylish rider in this class. The final class with jumps standing at 70 cm was entered by Charlie (Y6) and Tabitha (Y5). Tabitha had a good round with just four faults and Charlie was 5th overall.
It was a long day for all eleven riders who represented the school from Pre-Prep , Lower and Upper School and they all conducted themselves brilliantly. Many thanks to Lesley Prince who organised all the entries and to all the mums and dads who do all the hard work behind the scenes preparing the children and ponies for competitions, transporting and organising on the day. Well done to all competitors and ponies.
