Boarders’ Olympics

Boarders’ Olympics
Monday 10 Sep 2018 by Foremarke Hall

The morning began with a delicious breakfast of Belgian waffles and conversation of the previous week’s Outward Bounds activities.  This was followed by a Slumber Sunday morning, (after Bedders were tidied and uniforms readied!).  Boarders relaxed watching films, playing games and contacting home.

After lunch it was time to get active with Boarders’ Olympics.  In teams of mixed year groups, the Boarders competed for the title of 2018 Champions, undertaking a variety of events,  including Skittles, The Stilt Race, Basketball Round the World Challenge and The Obstacle Course.  The teams worked well together, encouraging each other and giving help and advice when needed.  The Games concluded with a variety of relay races with a twist!

Once Team B were crowned as Champions, all Boarders enjoyed a cool down in the pool with a free swim.  After such a busy, fun-packed afternoon, there was just enough time to change ready for tea and our first visit to St Saviour’s for Evening Prayer.  All Boarders represented the school very well and Sebastian gave a beautiful reading during the service.

A great day.
