The activities on offer range from physical, cerebral, reflective, relaxing, creative and artistic. We run around 40 activities each term for Upper School pupils and 28 activities for those in Lower School. The activities that are available often reflect staff interests and enthusiasm, but the children have a voice too and a number of activities have been set up at their request. Warhammer and Girls' Football are the most recent of these. Late notice "Mop Up" is available for the unexpected times when parents are delayed and pupils need to stay in school during activity time.
We believe that the range and quality of activities we offer at Foremarke are unparalleled in our region and beyond.
Children love the opportunity to try something new and at Foremarke we offer a busy and stimulating after-school activity programme. These activities are offered to pupils in Years 5 - 8 on four evenings each week during term time, between 5.00pm and 6.00pm. The children complete their prep between 4.15pm and 5.00pm after a short break and a snack, and then carry on to their chosen activity.
We provide an extensive and varied selection of clubs and activities throughout the academic year. Pupils select their activities termly and may undertake a different activity each day. Our after-school activities incur no extra charge except where a specialist external coach is brought in to school (marked with £).
These activities for children in Years 3 and 4 are available each night of the week except Wednesdays when school finishes at 4.00pm. The program runs from 4.15 until 5.00pm and provides an opportunity for children to enjoy a variety of extra–curricular clubs. Our aim is to offer activities which appeal to all children whatever their interest may be.
Our after-school activities incur no extra charge except where a specialist external coach is brought in to school (marked with £ on our list), such as Fencing.
Activities do change each term and reflect the changing seasons both in terms of sports and outdoor activities. Children are required to submit their choices at the end of each term by means of a completion form. Once allocated children will attend their activity for the whole term.
